Corporate workshops, shows, activities vary considerable from event to event and will be designed / modified during booking process to maximise the best experience all.

Workshop Design

Booked Participant Design

  • Workshops are designed for 30 children (booked situations) to provide them the opportunity to access equipment for the maximum amount of time. When numbers rise above 30, access to equipment decreases and child frustration levels may increase. We therefore recommend a workshop number of 30 children.
  • A hands-on workshop has a MAXIMUM of 40 even with additional help from Educators / Teachers. Workshops greater than 40 are not feasible in terms of equipment availability, time management and educational value. In the event that numbers are anticipated to be higher than 40, one of the following is recommended:

(a) two workshops need to be booked OR

(b) a show should be booked (as a show can accommodate larger numbers) OR

(c) two shorter modified workshops done in lieu of the longer single workshop.

Walk-by / Fluid Design

  • Activities are designed to give ALL participants the greatest access to materials and the opportunity to explore the wonder of science in a quick manner.
  • They are designed to be highly visible and instantaneously engaging.
  • The presenter will make modifications to the design depending on the physical space available on the day. This will enable the BEST opportunities to maximise participant exposure, learning and safety.

Equipment

  • Children should use the equipment as described by the presenter.
  • We understand that from time to time equipment damage / breakage may occur, however, in rare cases, misuse of equipment can result in excessive breakages. In these cases (in consultation withThe Crazy Scientist® ) the centre will be asked to cover the replacement cost of those items damaged.
  • In situations were program numbers are well above predicted and result in equipment breakage or loss, then the booking organisation (in consultation withThe Crazy Scientist®) will cover the replacement cost of such equipment.

Workshop Cost

  • The Crazy Scientist® tries to provide the best possible unique experiences at the best price.

(F) Confirmation of Booking

  • The Crazy Scientist®  recognises that the process of booking incursions / excursions for centres can be an organisational challenge. When the services of  The Crazy Scientist®  is ‘pencilled’ (booking made via phone or email), the exact date of booking will need to be confirmed within 3 days or the booking will expire and be opened up to other centres.
  • This is required as many times, enquiring centres phone to book and get turned away due to ‘no vacancy’, only to have a spot appear a few days later when a centre reschedules or cancels a workshop booking.
  • This is an organisational nightmare for the booking centre and for The Crazy Scientist®
  • No deposit is required to secure booking of a workshop.
