How long does a Crazy Scientist birthday party last?
Around 60 minutes. That's the sweet spot for keeping children engaged, excited and involved from start to finish.
Optional science add-ons can extend the party, and we're happy to recommend the best format for your children's ages, group size and the activities you choose.
What ages are your science parties suitable for?
Our Western Sydney science parties are designed for children aged 4–12.
Every party is adjusted to the group: younger kids enjoy colourful reactions and bubbles, while older children explore deeper STEM concepts.
How many children can attend a science party?
Up to 55 children. Choose the package that matches your group:
Party Level 1: up to 20 children
Party Level 2: 21–30 children
Party Level 3: 31–40 children
Large Group Party: 41–55 children, with an additional presenter
With 30 years of classroom experience, Darin is skilled at keeping big groups engaged, safe and involved, so every child feels part of the science action. That makes our parties a great choice for joint celebrations, school holiday gatherings and community events.
Do the children get to participate in the experiments?
Absolutely! Children are part of the action from start to finish. They:
help launch real experiments
mix surprising chemical reactions
explore real fossils
create giant bubbles
make predictions and help run demonstrations
It feels more like a live science adventure than a typical party activity.
What do we need to provide at our home or venue?
1. About 2–3 metres of clear space for the experiments and demonstrations.
Most living rooms, backyards and community halls work perfectly.
2. Two trestle tables for the exploration materials. I bring two for the messy activities.
3. Some old towels to help wipe the kids hands if needed.

We just need a Plan B space, like a hall, a room in your house, or a covered area in the yard.
