Freeze Curiosity. Ignite Scientific Thinking.
Curriculum-Aligned | Stage Adaptable | High Impact
This 45–60 minute Liquid Nitrogen science incursion is designed specifically for NSW primary schools and aligns directly with the NSW Science & Technology (2024) syllabus.
Each session is adapted for Stage 1, Stage 2 or Stage 3 — adjusting vocabulary, questioning and conceptual depth to suit your students.
Through dramatic demonstrations and structured scientific inquiry, students explore:
• Changes of state
• Rapid temperature change
• Gas expansion and pressure
• Energy transfer
• Material properties under extreme conditions
Unlike a generic “science performance,” this is a teacher-designed learning experience.
Students don’t just watch.
They predict.
They observe.
They explain.
And they think scientifically.
What Students Experience
Students don’t sit passively, they get up on stage & do experiments. They predict, test ideas, explain observations and apply scientific language. Each demonstration is structured around questioning, evidence and real-world application.
Question
Predict
Observe
Explain
This reinforces Working Scientifically.

Unlike tabletop demonstrations, our Liquid Nitrogen Show uses high-volume cryogenic systems and staged safety zones to create a truly immersive science experience.
Signature Demonstrations & Scientific Concepts
Each demonstration is structured around prediction, observation, explanation and real-world application — reinforcing Working Scientifically skills across Stage 1–3.
NSW (2024) Mapped
🔵 Blue Dot = Stage 1ST1-SCI-01
– Observable changes in materials
– Heating and cooling effects
– Cause & effect relationships
– Describing changes using everyday scientific language
🟣 Purple Dot = Stage 2ST2-SCI-01
– Changes of state (solid, liquid, gas)
– Energy transfer
– Air pressure and gas expansion
– Physical systems and interactions
🟢 Green Dot = Stage 3ST3-PQU-01 / ST3-DAT-01
– Particle model foundations
– Variables and fair tests
– Evidence-based explanations
– Energy flow and pressure systems

School liquid nitrogen experiment showing pressure and state changes — fog geysers fill the hall
STEM liquid nitrogen science incursion experiment where students breathe out visible ‘fog’ — perfect for Stage 2 & 3 outcomes.

Frozen lettuce smashed into pieces to show extreme cooling with liquid nitrogen.

Exploding liquid nitrogen pop experiments that link to gas expansion and Newton’s Laws.

And That’s Just the Beginning…
All demonstrations are intentionally grouped around key science concepts and syllabus-aligned outcomes.
•Matter & State Changes: Liquid Breath™, Neptune Fog Geysers, Expanding
Chicken
→ States of matter, rapid temperature change, particle behaviour.
•Explosions & Pressure: Milo Lid Blast-Off, Buzz Lightyear Explosions, LN
Helicopter
→ Gas expansion, pressure build-up, force and
motion.
•Frozen vs Shattered: Larry the Lettuce Smash, Flying Dragon Eggs
→ Material properties, brittleness, energy transfer at
low temperatures.
And that’s just the start — book now to see over 20 thrilling liquid nitrogen experiments LIVE in your school hall!
Why Schools Choose This Show
This is not a generic science performance.
It is a curriculum-aligned learning experience designed and delivered by an experienced classroom teacher.
Curriculum First
Students explore:
• States of matter
• Energy transfer
• Gas pressure
• Cause and effect
• Working Scientifically skills
This is structured learning — not just spectacle.
Delivered by a Classroom Teacher
30 years of actual in-class teaching of students in both Primary & Secondary environments.
BSc DipEd
Qualifications in Gifted Education
Active Scientific Thinking
Students:
• Predict outcomes
• Observe carefully
• Explain cause and effect
• Apply ideas to real-world examples
They do not simply watch — they think.

Why This Is Not a Typical Science Incursion
Unlike small tabletop demonstrations, this is a full-scale cryogenic theatre experience.
We don’t arrive with one bench and a few props.
We deliver a staged, high-impact science event designed for visibility, engagement, and curriculum depth.
What We Bring to Your School
• Multiple equipment systems — not a single demo table
• Large-volume liquid nitrogen dewars for true theatrical impact
• A dedicated smash & shatter station (lettuce, objects, floor demos)
• Professional cryogenic safety systems
• Purpose-built staging layout for whole-school assemblies
• Branded science theatre visuals
This is not a small tabletop demonstration.
It’s a curriculum-driven cryogenic spectacle designed for primary schools.
For Schools Wanting More Than a One-Off Show
Strategic School Science Partnerships
-
Schools partnering for weekly science programs receive:
-
• Priority theatre show booking
• Strategic enrichment alignment across stages
• Discounted rates for multiple events
• Long-term STEM planning support -
That sounds strategic, not clubby.
-
It elevates you above “incursion provider” and positions you as a curriculum partner.
-
That’s how you differentiate without naming competitors.
